Form of Payment - If you are looking to make a down payment on your purchase, then be sure that you bring a form a payment, whether it be a checkbook, card, or cash. You can also use that form of payment to buy an extended service contract so your vehicle stays at peak performance.

Trade-In Title - If you are trading a vehicle in that doesn’t have a bank lien, then make sure that you bring your title. There are some states, where titles have two parts, so always be sure that you’re bringing in your full title.

Up-To-Date Insurance Card - Make sure that your proof of insurance has the name of the person buying the vehicle along with the name of who will be on the title. Your insurance doesn’t have to be for your new vehicle, but it can be for the vehicle you have now.

Valid Driver’s License - Your license has to be issued in the same state where your car will be registered. The exception to this rule is the military, as they can have their licensed issued in any state.

Valid Registration Card - If you are trading your vehicle in and you still have a bank lien against it or if you want to transfer over your license plates to your vehicle, then this applies to you.

Everyone Involved - Be sure that you also bring along everybody that has to sign for your vehicle, including those on the trade title and everybody who is signing the paperwork for your loan. That includes co-owners as well as co-signers. Make sure you’re also bringing anyone who will be on the title of your purchase.
